What is Latisse?

Latisse is a prescription treatment used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker. The active ingredient in Latisse is bimatoprost. Latisse works by increasing the percent of hairs in, and the duration of, the anagen (or growth) phase. You can expect results to appear 4-16 weeks from application. This process is gradual and should be followed as directed to show clear results.

The most common side effects are an itching sensation in the eyes and/or eye redness. Other less common side effects can happen which typically occur on the skin close to where Latisse is applied, or in the eyes. These include skin darkening, eye irritation, dryness of the eyes, and redness of the eyelids.
